Robotics

Robotics Club is a team competition club that has two seasons.
In the fall season from August to December, students attend an intro meeting the second week of school where we explain what fall Robotics entails and that students are required to meet in Room 22 every Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:45-4:30 p.m.  Students are placed in teams to compete in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge competitions.  Students use Lego SPIKE Prime robots and programming.  Students work together to understand complex problems presented, envision possibilities, and develop innovative solutions to solve current scientific technological needs of the world.  The teams will participate in the Qualifying Tournament that (typically in November).  If a team qualifies at the Tournament, then that team will move on to the Regional Tournament (typically in December) and will continue meeting Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Nov-Dec) 2:45-4:30 p.m.
In the spring season from January to May there is a new season so a new start to Robotics where more students may wish to participate that did not participate in the fall.  Students will work in teams to compete in the off-season competition called Spring Showdown. Spring Showdown is similar to the previous fall Challenge competition, but with several new twists.  Meetings in the spring are in Room 22 Tuesdays from 2:45-4:30 p.m.
